Baking A Pizza Slice!

 Hello,

On Wednesday and Thursday this week, my cooking class and I had made our own pizza slice. The ingredients my group had used were...

  • Pizza sauce
  • Red oinion
  • Capsicum
  • Salami/Ham
  • Cheese (pizza blend)
  • Grind black pepper
  • Italian herbs
  • Bread/Tortilla
How we started, is we first...
  1. Turned on the oven to 180c and on fan bake
  2. Diced up all the vegetables
  3. Chop the meats into strips
  4. Applied the sauce
  5. Spreaded all the rest of the ingredients (except the cheese)
  6. Added cheese on top
  7. Gently inserted the food that was already on the tray, in the oven
  8. Checked the oven every 5 minutes or so
  9. When ready, we carefully took the food out and simply enjoyed it
With help by my team, making this delicious slice was quick and easy, which means you could make this yourselves or with your family in about an hour or less. Plus most of the ingredients we used are all here, even the instructions and if you wanted to, you could always add more flavour or turn the pizza dough into a piece of  bread.

Skittle Colours Experiment

 Aim:
I want to find out what happens when you mix Skittle colours.

Method:

Equipment
  • Skittles
  • Petri dish
  • Warm water
  • Beaker
  • White background

Instructions:
  1. Get your equipment
  2. Place your petri dish on the white background
  3. Put your skittle around the inside edge of the petri dish
  4. Carefully pour the water into the middle of the petri dish
  5. Observe what happen
Prediction:
I think the colours of Skittles will come in the middle of the petri dish and will make a cool image. And if you mix it, I think it will turn brown.

Results:

When mixed:

What I had witnessed was the colours of the skittles dissolving slowly when it felt the liquid.
When the colours touched each other they kept still, they did not mix.
After I stirred the colours starting from the middle, it had turned into a light brown shade.

Discussion:
The colours dissolved (when a solid is mixed into a liquid, creating a solution).

Why did the colours spread?
Since the Skittles are colour sugar coated, when the warm water was poured onto the plate the colours are diffused (spreads out to a low concentration area - where there is no colour).

Counting The Beat

 Hi there,

In my Hurumanu 2 we've been learning about music. This week we are investigating about guitars. What I already knew about guitars is that they have 6 strings, the 3 bottom strings make a higher sound, how you can tune a guitar is by turning its tuning keys, it's in the strings category nd more small details about it.

The things I learnt was there are 5 different guitars and the Air Guitar has to be the best one. What I also leant was that even though there are different guitars, the shapes and sizes of that guitar could look different to the rest.

Here's a image of different types of guitar,

I started to play the guitar at the start of the year, I enjoy it a lot and I think the reason for that is I got my grandpa's genes. What about you, do you play the guitar?

Weird questions that are related to the Treaty of Waitangi

Ohayo gozaimasu,

Today in hurumanu 1, we are currently answering questions that are quite confusing but still make sense. I had finished my work with the help of my buddies, Lydia and Sophia.
The questions were....

What are more unusual questions that are related to the Treaty of Waitangi would you like my buddies and I to answer? Thank you for reading my post.

Obsessed

 Good morning/afternoon/evening,

When I reached the list to choose my word of the week, my eyes were looking straight to the word obsessed. I don't know if it was because it’s in the middle of the page or that I didn't know what word to choose but it just attracted my attention. It took me a few seconds for me to actually decide though. When I did, I followed all the expectations I had to do to finish my work.

Since you have read this far I will let you see an image of it,

So what are you obsessed about?

I’m glad you are still reading this. This will be it, hope today turns amazing!

Use this!

 Why hello there!

Did I catch your attention? I hope I did, I don’t want to feel useless :/

What you’re reading right now, is about my word of the week. As for a hint I have used it somewhere already except, I won’t spill it out yet.

The feeling I chose is an emotion we shouldn’t describe ourselves or people, not even when you hate them since everyone you meet serves a purpose in your life. Could be that they are the people who bring out your happiness or instead, they could be the challenge you have to finally face.

Have you figured it out yet, well please look at this image of my work,

I hope when you feel useless go to this page and read it again and just want to say, you are doing your purpose right now ( even if you don't even know what it is. )

My Mosaic

 Kamusta!

In the last few days of term 3, room 9 have started making our mosaic art. Mosaic art is an art when you use coloured glass, stone, ceramic. In this case we used peace’s of coloured paper that feels a tiny harder than normal paper.

Our first step was to draw a flower on a blank piece of paper. Then after we had drawnour flower, we had to outline it with felt colours. After those steps, it was time for picking then cutting out coloured paper into tiny squares and sticking them into their places.

When I saw mine, some pieces were missing but I still love it! Here is what it looks like,

I hope you enjoy this post. Goodbye!
