Maths Noticing

Hallloooo humans in this wonderful earth!!

Today was a day that I looked at another math observation! These are the things where I look at the image and see what maths stuff I notice.

This one was different though, like really different because the photo was a stem and leaf graph. This you might have already learnt but me, I have never done a stem and leaf graph, ever.

My work is okay for me but what do you think?
( here’s a screenshot of it,)
I haven't fully finished it, but at least it's close to being done?

Action Words

Kamusta amazing readers,

The start of this term, room 9 have been learning to write a strong narrative. It has to be believable, descriptive, consistent and needs a strong structure.

Yesterday my class and I learned how to show not tell to our audience by picking a paragraph from a story we have made and highlighting all the verbs and changing the weak ones to much stronger ones. I completed mine because I used a synonym dictionary.

Here’s an example:

Al gave miss D a coffee.

And this is the change I made,

Al kindly gifted Miss D a cup of tasty cappuccino.

Thank you for checking out my post, hope you learnt something about the difference of weak action words and strong verbs! Here’s a link of the synonym dictionary I used, Click here fo the link

Sceptical

Kia ora readers,

Today is a great day that I’ll be sharing with you the work I did for reading. So what I did was, I did my word of the week and it is sceptical.

I learnt that sceptical is kind of another saying that you think it’s not close to being true. How I knew that was I went on the dictionary, but it was confusing so I went and just searched it up in google then I added them together and that’s how I knew it.

Do you like how my work is designed?
Every time I do the word of the week, at first I always get confused and I think this word is the word that really hit me.

What we have been doing for Technology

Aloha viewers,

Today I will tell you what I’ve been doing lately for technology!
What’s been happening is, we (room 9) have been looking at the design process.

The people who use the process are the people who have problems or just want to create something new like the people who make devices. However in my class, our process was about blow darts and for us to complete our work, we had to get two buddies.

My buddies were Sonnie and Jade and this is our creation.
I know it’s not finished but we couldn’t complete it because we couldn’t really make it since our design is made out of bamboo, leaves, tree wax and a small bamboo peace’s that looks like a toothpick.

Maths Again

Hello kamusta po kayong lahat?
(If you ain’t fillipino..that means hi how are y'all?)

This is another post that would be about my maths this week.
During this week I did another, What do you see in this image? type.

I'm not sure if you’ll find it cute or not by looking at the photo but hey at least they don’t bite, I think? You might be like, what in the world are you talking about? well what I’m talking about is insects. And they look like this
I think they are known as coreid bug nymphs and maybe I can’t say it properly.

Here’s a photo of the great maths work I have done! ( hehe jk it’s okay though)
‘Write down the two mathematical rules of blah blah blah,’ you know that part? I wrote the rules in my own way but the original were..Multiplication uses groups of the same number and a division question can be reversed so that it is a multiplication question.

THANK YOU!! XD

Writing Structures

Hi there fellow people,

Today I will be explaining what I enjoyed, learnt, thought challenging and more  in my writing. I had to make another strong narrative and you know, strong narratives should be believable, descriptive, consistent and ( this is a new one) they should have a structure too. I think a structure is a thing that keeps your narrative in place.

Below this message is a picture of my planning, (I hope it’s good)
What I liked about this was I had permission to add some of my friends in it but what I learnt was finding problems and solutions are quite tricky to reach.

Word of the Week!

Kia ora readers,

Today I will be sharing with you what I did for reading. Yesterday I had finished doing the word of the week, if you’re wondering what the word is...it is withdrawn.

At first I was confused what the word meant because during my life I have never ever heard of withdrawn before until yesterday obviously. But it didn’t really help me that much so I kept on re-reading it.

Now I know what it means. I will show you an image of my slide peace for this weeks word.
I hope you learnt a word this week as I did and I hope this wasn’t too confusing for you because if yes then please tell me.

Cheeky as Chips

HEY you, behind the screen. I just wanted to say hi,
(Now I got your attention, please stay)

Today I will tell you the process I go through to do my word of the week for reading and technically every time I do the weekly word. Ohh by the way the word for this week is cheeky.

It starts off by me going to the weekly word slide, on the second slide there are 2 links to help with my definition and example but I prefer using the first one. These are the links, https://www../dictionary/ and https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/. Next I copy and paste the definition and one of the examples. After I do my sentence and last I find a background.

Below this text, there’s a photo of my weekly word.
I’m pretty sure you don’t want to get in trouble because you're being a little cheeky but it’s fine if you do it once in a while cause you know, gotta have fun sometimes.

Sick Sentences

Kamusta readers,

Today I will be showing you about my writing this week and for this week we are learning to write a strong narrative. A strong narrative has to be believable, descriptive and consistent.

Today we changed boring, lame sentences into sick and more interesting ones. The boring and plain sentence I had changed and added new words was….
Anna. sat down. Anna touched the mirror. The glass moved.
and turned that into a much better sentence….
Anna gently sat on her knees on the dirty, uncomfortable concrete and carefully touched the unusual mirror. The glass VIBRATED like it was water.

Here's an image that made me have ideas for my story.

...and here’s my story in process,
Was this interesting enough for you or not? and should I continue it?

Reading- Problems with Bradley and Jeff

Hello everyone who’s looking at this,

Today I completed all the tasks for my reading and now I will be telling you all about it.

First I had to finish my weekly word and post it here and that I had completed. Then I had to read chapter 1 and 2 of a very interesting story called, There’s a boy in the girls bathroom. After that I had to make a new document and write down all the problems that the main characters had.

This is an image of the problems I had listed from the book I had read from chapter 1-2.
If you have read the book then I have a question for you, did I miss some problems that the boys had in the 2 chapters?

The Mirror

Mhoro everyone,

Today I will tell you what I’ve been doing for writing.

This week I was doing a strong narrative story about a girl named Anna. It’s a story that I’m still working on. However it’s not just me who did a story about the girl, it’s technically everyone in my class. But when we did it, we needed some ideas so we all first did the question time.

Here is the questions that I have answered to help me with my story,
This is how my narrative will go, but the thing is it has to sound believable, descriptive and consistent.

Maths Masterpiece

Hola amigas,

This week on Tuesday I had completed a task that my teacher had planned for my group for maths and for that day we did this math because my class is trying to learn to notice the number patterns and show our thinking.

How my maths afternoon went was to the mat, listened and watched as the teacher was explaining. The subject was about squares that form like an X shape but since I can’t explain it very well I'll just say, a pattern that was getting larger and larger every time you add 4 to it’s corner and..

..also show you this masterpiece of my task that I have accomplished,
If you’ve seen my last few maths blog posts you might notice that I do these maths I guess once a week and some I even added a link to the same one but you always have to make a copy first though and that’s what that link is there.
