Learning About Satellites

 Hey there,

This week I learnt about space. Although technically I was mainly taught about satellites, however there’s no complaints from me :)

I’ve never really thought of learning about space which means I learnt a lot this week but I’ll only tell you 3 of them-

  1. Mass means the amount of matter that an object contains
  2. A composite is any material that is made by combining 2 other materials
  3. Naomi Altman is the Avionics manager at the Rocket Lab in Auckland Office.

Our next step was to turn these key words..

Satellite

Mass

Law

Ingines

Composite

Launch

Software

Joules

Space

Rutherford

Rocket

Payloads

Fibres

Sideways

Turbopumps

Orbit

Stage

Altitude

Electron

Oxygen

Gravity

Earth

NASA

Azimuth

Direction

… from a book we had to read that was mostly about satellites and turn it into this:

To be honest this was kind of fun. Who knows? I might even consider myself learning more about space. Can you tell me anything you’ve learnt about space in the past? Thanks for keeping up with me, see you all next time!

  1. Hey Zahina,

I really love the colours in your Word Cloud.
In the past I've learnt that it takes 2-3 days to fly to the moon.

What does the word Azimuth mean? I would really love to find out.
    Looking forward to your reply!

  3. Hi Zahina,

I really liked your ideas in your word cloud, there is a lot of word that haven't heard before like altitude, azimuth and composite. Did you know that 1 million Earth's can fit inside the sun. Thank you for reading this. Bye!
