The Healer's Apprentice

Hi there readers,

Today I will be sharing with you my writing!

I had to read a book called, The Healer's Apprentice (it was the same book i read yesterday. But today I read it again because I had to do the narrative breakdown.

Here’s my progress,
‘The Healer's Apprentice’

By ‘Renata Hopkins’

We are learning to identify elements of a narrative.

Fill in the table below with the details from the story you read.

Narrative Structure
Main Character
Mara (she is a child that was going to a journey that might make her the apprentice)
Supporting Characters
Healers ( the teachers )
Antagonists
(Bad Characters)
Bran ( but he did turn good kinda at the end.)
Problem
A boar showed up and charged at Mara.
Solution
She leaped on the nearest tree and held on tightly to a branch.
Problem
The branch snapped.
Solution
The boar was only charging because something was blocking its way.
Problem
Bran was hurt and Mara did not know what to do.
Solution
She did what was right
Climax
She was too late the sun slipped by
Resolution and Ending
Mara was not in trouble since she had helped someone in need even if she knew what the consequences were.

I hope you learnt something about the book I had read.

  1. Talofa Zahina,
I can see how you have taken the narrative and found the problems and solutions just as you were shown in class. I have read the book so I know you have done well. I wonder if most people would have done the same as she did? It ended well for Mara.
Thank you for your quality blogs. :)
